If you want to make your voice heard, then write and object to this application.
For many people this isn't easy, as you may not know the planning issues that are at stake. So we have made it a bit easier for you Remember:
PLAN/2008/1004 is the planning reference for the new Building on the Lye
PLAN/2008/1006 is the planning reference for the 4 new houses on the existing Memorial Hall site
PLAN/2008/1007 is the planning reference for the Conservation Area consent
The important letters of objection relate to 1004 and 1006.
Below are draft letters for you to upload to your pc, amend and send in to the Chief Planning Officer
It will have more effect if you amend the letter and use your own language, rather than just adopt our standard letter, but a standard letter is better than no letter at all. Change the first few sentences as the rest of the letter is unlikely to be compared.
It might help if you copy the letter to your local Councillor too - (s)he will then get a better idea for local feeling. Our local Councillors are Graham Cundy and John Kingsbury. There are links below to email them. If you are in a different area, try looking here for your local Councillor and email them direct.
Of course having read what we have to say you may have decided to support the application, so write to do that too.
Just don't expect local residents help !
If you want some help, here are some draft objection letters you could open, adjust in your own words and send to the Hall, and to the Council. If you need any help, then please contact us by clicking on the email link here or at the bottom of the page.
